Best every. Have no idea whyyyyyyyyy they won't update to Windows 10 software. I have to use Western Digital backup now on W10. - crazy. Iomega was the best straightforward backup, restore, "find a file", mirror of the actual drive, etc so far. And I"ve been using software since the "XT floppy disk" days, so a long time.
Mein Screen Play Plus wird bei Verwendung als externe Festplatte auf Windows 10 zwar
erkannt aber kann nicht verwendet werden, da es nicht als Laufwerk mit einem Buchstaben angezeigt wird.
Vielleicht hilft Quick Protect weiter.
I use Quick Protect v 1.3.3.19260 since may 2012 on Windows 7 and I love it!
1) Will it work with Windows 10 that I am about to download?
2) If not, what do you recommand?
3) I sometimes have a message : "Une exception non gérée s'est produite dans un composant de votre application. Si vous cliquez sur Continuer, votre application va ignorer cette erreur et essayer de continuer. Le thread a été abandonné." What does it mean? Thank you.
QuckProtect will not backup non-standard folders I've selected in addition to the standard folders. It backs up the standard folders just fine, but will not backup the additional folders I have selected. I have no idea why as it doesn't make any sense to me. This has never worked and I ended up having to copy/paste the folders from my computer to the Iomega Home Media Network Drive.
As an example, it backs up: Contacts, Desktop (which I deselected) Documents, Downloads, Favorites, Music, Pictures, Saved Games (which I deselected), and Videos.
I have additional folders that I created under my User Account and even though I select those folders as part of the backup and monitoring, QuickProtect refuses to back them up!
I know that this SW is no longer supported, so I would really appreciate recommendations for a replacement BU SW that works with the Iomega Home Media Drive. I am running Windows 7 64-bit.
QuikProtect came optional with iomega Storcenter ix 2 but does not work. Help button does not work! No user manual! I have no clue how to make automatic backups with the device.
So far does not seem to work with Windows 8. I had to manually install it since the bundle with iOmega StoreManager did not install it despite the check box being ticked.
Only way I could install it was in compatibility mode and then the executable keeps crashing.
I configured quick protect and I did all the steps right selecting what, where & when but it is not copying the files. Whenever it triggers the backup process it immediately notifies me that the copy is complete but i can't find the files and folders on the network drive, which I made protected.
Hi. I like the software, but it could be better if you can associate each folder to a destination folder (not the entire disk). Then u can have a very organized backup. Greetings

Unfortunately, the program is unavailable for downloading and the program's origin is unknown.

Thanks so much for your help!
Unfortunately, the program can't be downloaded as it was discontinued by the developer.
Now I can see the Iomega network hard drive in QuickProtect but it won't let me select anything.
